Here's how it works. During the course of the game, you'll receive twenty-one “virtual” checks, most accompanied by a lesson and/or challenge. These checks you access at a special download page—and you can also subscribe to reminder emails that contain links to each day's check.

You receive one check a day for four days; then you get a day off. Then you have another four days of checks, followed by one day off. And so on. This “play money” is for you to spend in your mind and heart on whatever rings your chime. For a sample check, just click here.

Beginning at fifty dollars, these virtual checks grow ever larger until your final gift of one million (virtual) dollars on Day 21. True, a million bucks doesn’t buy what it used to, but it’s still a nice chunk of change. As noted above, on most days you also have a short lesson or challenge. These, along with the checks, are meant to help you—

• Figure out what you’d do with this money if it came to you in “real time.”
• Gain a gradual sense of (comfortably) using and managing larger and larger amounts of money.
• Broaden your view of what could be possible and acceptable for you.
• Become more clear about some things you might like to be, do, or have.
